Our Story

My name is Jennifer Jody and I am a stay at home mom as well as an entrepreneur with a home based business. Five years ago, I left a successful job in the corporate world to raise the first of my two sons.

I came from a Human Resources Management background, and although I had worked in the field for 10 years prior to having my first child, I never plan to re-enter the workforce when my children get older. I have no desire to go back into an employer-employee relationship and do the dance of workplace politics again. I am not interested in working toward someone else's goals, or taking vacations according to someone else's schedule and make money based on what others say I am worth.

Don't get me wrong. I made a fairly good income and had good relationships with my colleagues and superiors...but I wanted something more.

Recently, I heard something that rings very true to me: Those who do not make goals work for those who do.

I wanted to steer my own course in life as well as have the freedom to choose how I spend my time and how I provide value to the world.

We have come to realize that working for someone else is not going to get us where we want to be. Although our lives have been financially stable, we working on businesses that we can hand over to our two sons, Max and Aidan, when the time comes.

Our business is called Jennifer Jody Group, and is focused on network marketing on the Internet, social networking, as well as opportunities systems for network marketers. My partner is my husband, Chuck. He is a web application developer as well as an Internet marketer and copywriter. His role has been to plan, design, build and manage our online business.

We launched our online business model in 2009, which consists of blogs ecommerce components, email automation systems, and other online tools.

These days I balance my time between my business and spending time with my two boys. This balance is not easy. My sons are still very young and require a lot of my time, so my life is still challenging in many ways.

Despite the challenges of managing two small children and a home-based business at the same time, I wouldn't have it any other way since I have the best of both worlds: A fulfilling career and getting to raise my children at the same time.
